A quiet goodbye
in Lohals
Last night on a
youth exchange is usually one big party, but not this time. The fact was that the
crew must not be disturb in their sleep during the night as they have to work
the next day. Nights have to be “ quiet ship,” as the skipper said, and night
watching and other duties have to continue as usual, even on the last night.
Many stayed up
mostly all night sitting on the pier talking quietly, some crying, some making
speeches and sharing their last hours together.
Slovakia left
at 6 o´clock in the morning from Lohals. French and Danish group went on
sailing heading for Svendborg harbour. The atmosphere was as atmospheres are when you
do not want something to stop.
Everybody agreed – it has been an amazing camp!
